Katherine Griwert, FRONTLINE's story editor and coordinating producer, works to strengthen and sharpen the acclaimed investigative series’ documentary journalism in collaboration with FRONTLINE’s senior editors, senior producers, special counsel and film teams. Kate works across the series on story development, research and reporting, footage finding and editorial vetting, ensuring investigations meet FRONTLINE’s rigorous editorial standards. In this role, she’s been a key contributor to Emmy, Peabody and Academy Award-winning documentary films.

Kate first joined the FRONTLINE newsroom in 2016 as the series’ inaugural audience engagement editor, developing and producing social media content to help FRONTLINE’s journalism reach new audiences. She was part of teams that won a Murrow Award for Excellence in Innovation and multiple People’s Voice Webby Awards for social journalism.

A New Jersey native living in Boston, Kate holds a degree in American Studies from Boston College.
